Join us for an out-of-this-world adventure where theory meets practice!
In this dynamic full day, weekly STEAM camp operating in conjunction with our partners at Young Engineers West Island and Vaudreuil-Soulanges, participants will step into the careers of engineers, pilots, robot developers and astronauts. Campers will explore the fundamental principles of robotics, flight and aerospace technology, from Earth’s atmosphere to deep space missions. Our program fosters a collaborative learning environment, encouraging students to solve complex problems, build technical skills for the AI era, and think creatively. Designed to complement the school curriculum, this camp reinforces academic concepts in a fun, supportive atmosphere.
Week 6 – August 3rd – August 7th
EVA Astronaut Engineers: Design a pulley system EVA astronaut to help build the Gateway to the Moon and Mars. Build a bridge with Lego, create a marble maze, explore symmetry, train like an astronaut and let your imagination soar.
WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN
Aviation Fundamentals: Explore the science of aerodynamics and the four forces of flight through hands-on experiments in a wind tunnel and flight simulators.
Space Exploration: Design, build, and launch model rockets, lunar rovers, and model space habitats as part of simulated missions to the Moon or Mars.
Robotics & Engineering: Learn the basics of programming, design, build, and test robots for specific challenges, such as navigating obstacle courses or performing complex tasks.
Hands-on Projects: Engage in various engineering challenges using tools like 3D printers, circuits, and simple machines to bring innovative ideas to life.
Creative Challenges: Going beyond technical expertise, campers will cultivate essential 21st-century skills—including leadership, critical thinking, and teamwork. They will also build resilience by learning to embrace the process of trial and error.
Science Experiments: Engaging in experiments helps students understand scientific principles through practical application.
Collaborative Projects: Encourage teamwork and communication, cultivating interpersonal skills that are vital in any industry.
